The course is designed for anyone who may be required to identify or control dangerous atmospheres and help workers remain safe while working in or around these conditions.
CICT’s Gas Detection training course is a program which includes theory and practical components. The course adheres to Canadian Standards Association, Occupational Health & Safety and Manufacture Specifications for the equipment used in the training. This training is applicable throughout Canada.
The course is offered mobile at a client’s site or at our training facility. This course will train the user to safely use Gas Detection equipment to perform duties in multiple workplace environments.

This course covers the features & operation of the most well-known tube detection devices (bellows & piston) and electronic gas monitors (personal, portable & fixed).
Training completion & certification:
Participants will receive a wallet sized card or ticket certifying that they have successfully completed & met the training requirements
CICT will provide proof of training completion to employers when requested
Training records are kept on file & participants, employers & sites may contact CICT for proof of training

The Beginning
CICT was the vision of two men who identified the need for standardized safety training for contractors based on industry needs and best practices.

People that work alone or that don’t have access to an emergency service need to be able to evacuate a hazardous work environment or be able to carry out a self-rescue following a fall. This course is particularly relevant for police, fire, and rescue services.
The course is approximately 6-8 hours in duration and includes an instructor led presentation, practical exercises, class discussion, written knowledge test, and practical exam.
We will provide onsite leadership and training to your staff and health and safety committee representative.
This course will follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act / Canada Labour Code Part 2 requirements and CAN/CSA-Z94.4-18, Selection, Use and Care of Respirators. Manufacturer specific operating manuals will be incorporated into any course based on the type of SCBA needed.
NORCAT's Elevated Work Platforms training program is designed to promote the safe use, inspection, operation and an understanding of hazards associated with Elevating Work Platforms or Aerial Platforms.
