GED Course

The GED preparation course that our organization utilizes is called the Test Assessing Secondary Completion, or TASC. TASC is a national high school equivalency assessment that assesses five subject areas including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

It measures examinees’ levels of achievement relative to that of graduating high school seniors, and readiness for college and the workforce, as outlined by the Common Core State Standards. 

This course is taught by a teacher who is degreed and experienced. The TASC is administered by the state. The course length is 6 to 9 months, depending on an individual’s progress.

The course is taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (individual tutoring is available on other days as needed) and we are considering an evening class should there be a need.  

To ensure the student is ready to take the test for their diploma, we evaluate the students tests before sending the students to the testing site for final exam that can lead to their receiving their diploma.  This way we can evaluate if the student is ready to go for their testing ahead of time.
