Our General English courses aim to improve your ability to use English by developing your core language skills
Overview:
Our General English courses aim to improve your ability to use English by developing your core language skills – speaking, listening, writing and reading, and increasing your knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary.
They also develop your English skills for international communication and include lots of natural, (British) English, drawing on the local area and culture.
A large part of language development is confidence; this is why we designed our lessons to build your confidence and provide you with lots of opportunities to use the English you are learning.
Will I get a certificate?
You will get a New College Group Certificate at the end of your course (provided your attendance is 80% or above).
New College Group (NCG) is an International College that is accredited by the British Council.
These courses will help you to develop your practical communication skills by improving your speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Our preparation courses for the academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam or the advanced TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills) exam will help you get your best possible result.
The international English language testing system (IELTS) is the most widely accepted English language test that uses a one-on-one speaking test to assess your English communication skills. This means that you are assessed by having a real-life conversation with a real person.
Improve your English communication skills and improve your employability skills.
Warm Welcome also offers the opportunity to practice your English language skills in a real-life setting every day, if you choose our homestay accommodation alongside your English language course, internship or work experience placement.
