German Level 1D & 2A, Part 2 A
For learners at post – beginners’ level who have completed courses at Level 1 A to D
(approximately 180 hours) or have studied the language to post-beginner level in the past.
German Level 2 A
This course at lower intermediate level is suitable for students who have completed courses at Level 1 and have a good basic understanding of the language.
German Level 2 B&C, Part C
This course at intermediate level is suitable for students who have completed courses at Level 1 and Level 2 A and B, and have a good basic understanding and grasp of the language.
German Level 2 C&D, Part D
This course at upper intermediate level is suitable for students who are reasonably competent in the language.
German Level 3 A&B, Part B
These courses at advanced level are suitable for students who have been learning German for a number of years and who are fluent and proficient.

German Language Course is offered by Belfast Met. Our learning environment, at centres around Belfast, is fun and adult friendly, and you can be confident that all our part-time course teacher have extensive knowledge and experience they’d love to share with you!
Our language classes are divided into Stages. Stage one is designed for real beginners whilst stage six and seven are for advanced learners. Check out the entry requirements to determine which stage is most appropriate for you.
All language courses focus on communication skills through task-based learning, with a particular emphasis on listening and speaking.
During this two-year course, you will explore the language, culture and society of the countries where the language is spoken and develop a critical and analytical approach to film and literature in your chosen language.
German has around 100 million speakers worldwide. Outside of Germany itself, it is an official language in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. In fact it has more native speakers within the EU than any other language.
