We are a German Language Centre, located at both Kingsmead College and St John's College in Johannesburg. We specialise in teaching German to pupils from Grade 8 to Matric.
Teachers
Our teachers are highly committed professionals, registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE), who have specialised in teaching German as a foreign language. They are familiar not only with the IEB syllabus, but also with the new CAPS requirements.
We aim to prepare our pupils effectively for the final examinations and to ensure that they are proficient language users.
Curriculum
Jugend4German follows the IEB syllabus in all grades. German remains an integrated part of the school curriculum. Therefore test and examination results as well as comments are communicated to schools and are included in reports.
Native to almost 100 million people around the world, German is the second most widely spoken language in Europe and official language to seven different countries globally.
German lessons are offered by Alpha Service Provider. We have a staff of professionals having more than five years of experience in the retraining of personnel of many administrations and governments in Africa and around the world.
At the Goethe-Institut Johannesburg, children from the age of 5 – 11 years can experience German.
German Language course is offered by Extralingual for all skill level. Our experienced and qualified teachers give private or group language lessons for all levels and at the venue of your choice. We also provide language classes as an extracurricular activity to schools.
German is one of the main languages used in business and international diplomacy. German is closely related to English and 36 other "Germanic" languages, including Afrikaans, Danish, Dutch, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish, and Yiddish.
