Our regular evening and daytime language classes are conducted in four 10 week terms per year. We have classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced level students. Each session is for 90 minutes per week unless indicated otherwise.
The fee for our online German evening and daytime group classes is $359.00 for the 10 week term. Each class will have a minimum of five students.
At our Language Centre in East Melbourne we have five classrooms where students learn German in a friendly atmosphere. The largest classrooms fit up to 12 students. Our classrooms are set up with a whiteboard, a screen and a computer. With tea and coffee provided, our students enjoy learning a new language in a relaxed and inclusive learning environment.
All of our teachers have professional qualifications. They have many years of teaching experience and are native speakers.
Smaller German Classes
Learn German in Melbourne in smaller classes of either 3 or 4 students per class. The course fee changes slightly for smaller classes.
We offer these classes at different rates and conditions.
Online classes with 4 students are $359 for a 9 week term. Online classes with 3 students are $359 for a 9 week term with 1.25 hours per week.
Beginners To Advanced
Beginners (A1.1) start as Elementary 1 and go up to Elementary 5 (A 1.5). To complete the elementary levels it will take approximately 5 to 6 terms. Intermediate and advanced levels vary.
We have many classes at all levels. If you are unsure about your level even after the placement test, you are able to try out different classes after enrollment (if places are available).
Internationally recognized examinations can be taken from advanced levels. Please talk to us for a free informal assessment of your level and we will find a suitable class for you.
German For Travelling
For travellers or interested learners with no or some very basic knowledge. Find your way around Germany with a few useful phrases. Learn about what to avoid and what to do to have a better experience.

You will also get useful tips and tricks to get the best out of your trip through Germany.We can arrange one-on-one tuition and semi/private (2-3 students) at flexible times, depending on the teacher's and the students availability and can be booked outside our trading hours or on public holidays.

The Language Centre was established in 1989 in Lansdowne Street, East Melbourne as the German Language Centre. Due to demand we expanded our services to include many other languages.
