In addition, this course adheres to the fundamental recommendations for training of maritime radio personnel as outlined in the International Maritime Organization’s Resolution A.703(17).

Applicants must hold either a General Operator’s Certificate or a Restricted Operator’s Certificate - Marine or successful completion of Marine Institute Nautical Science Diploma course Navigation 2300 or documented previous radio communications experience.

Our award-winning sail training programs introduce hundreds of new sailors to the sport each year through introductory learn-to-sail courses and camps.
The Introduction to Cruising course teaches the basic skills needed to perform the most common maneuvers as a crew member.Â
Upon the completion of a practical skills evaluation and written Sail Canada (CYA) exam, successful candidates will be awarded the Sail Canada Basic Cruising Standard Certification.
CanSail 1 and CanSail 2 levels, sailors are introduced to the essential skills of sailing under the supervision of an instructor.
This course is for beginners with little or no sailing experience
