Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (GDECE)

It is specially tailored for educators who intend to acquire a recognized qualification in early childhood education but are unable to leave their place of work. It can be done fully online and with face to face interaction (optional) which is suitable for working adults. 

Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (GDECE) programme is designed for practicing early childhood educators who want to expand their academic knowledge and enhance their professional skills. 

Learning outcomes

• Able to apply knowledge of child development in planning and challenging learning environment for children.
• Able to plan and implement development appriorite practices for young children with sensitivity to individual needs.
• Able to explain organisational regulations, policies ethical guidelines and standards associated with the provision of early childhood education services.
• Able to appreciate that teaching young children is an art, science, craft and profession.

Entry requirement normal entry
Pass any qualification below:

• STPM, A-Levels, Matriculation, with minimum of 2 principals or equivalent qualifications.
• SPM with 3 Credits or equivalent qualifications.

Direct Entry

• PMR/SPM/MCE/UEC or equivalent qualifications
• 21 years of age with minimum 2 years teaching experience.
• Entry exam: Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) Aptitude Test.
