Course Details

In this diploma program students will acquire the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence to work as visual and graphic art designers in variety of digital media industries. Students will become proficient digital artists using industry standard software and will apply contemporary design theory and digital tools and techniques to a wide variety of industry specific design problems. 

Dedicated production studio time at the end of each term provides students with the opportunity to complete and enhance term assignments and portfolio pieces. Graduate portfolios will clearly illustrate a passion for design and a desire to consistently and creatively solve challenging design problems.

Admission Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent or

  • Mature student status ( British Columbia 19 years old and plus)
  • Meet the College’s English Proficiency requirements by any one of the following options:
  • IELTS: 5.5 (or better) or
  • TOEFL (paper): 520 (or better) or
  • TOEFL (CBT): 190 (or etter) or
  • TOEFL (IBT): 70 (or better) or
  • Cambridge: FCE (or better) or
  • Intermediate (or better) Certificate from a Language Canada-accredited school
  • Pearson English Placement Test at the Intermediate level
  • Pass the College’s English Language Proficiency exam
  • Has earned a high school graduation diploma from a Canadian high school or earned a diploma from secondary school (or above) in a system in which English is the official language
