DurationEnhance your professional skillset by exploring grid-tied, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. With the skills you develop in this course will be able to design a PV system and understand the applicable permitting requirements and associated drawings.
You will have a solid understanding of PV technological principles and knowledge of equipment commonly used in PV systems. You will also have obtained practical, hands-on experience installing and handling solar PV equipment.
Although this course is intended for Electricians, Electrical Inspectors or Engineers, others who have a basic understanding of electrical theory and a solid familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code are welcome to enroll.
Students should be prepared to complete two assessments on the course material. Multiple optional review quizzes and worksheets will also be available throughout the course to practice.

This solar panel installation training is an introductory course and will provide you with all the necessary knowledge to install grid-tied and off-grid systems.
This course provides an overview of PV section in the electrical code as it pertains to the design/installation of systems and will be of interest to those involved in PV industry.
This one-year, 12-course certificate program prepares and trains students for careers in the growing field of photovoltaic panel (also known as solar panel) installation.
If you’re interested in breaking ground on new energy sources or you simply want to help urban communities make better use of existing energy sources and control their energy costs, this is the ideal program for you.
