The guitar is an incredibly portable instrument which can travel with you wherever you go. Guitarists at CSM have the option to join a rock band, jazz band or a classical guitar ensemble.
If you play the bass guitar, you can also consider playing in our fabulous concert band or the new junior concert band.We have a range of teachers who can cover jazz, rock or classical guitar. You can also choose electric guitar or bass guitar or acoustic guitar – many students play them all!
With small sized guitars available, children can start learning from as young as 6.
Welcome to the Christchurch School of Music! The CSM is one of New Zealand’s greatest musical treasures, where tens of thousands of Christchurch children and adults have learned to love and appreciate music. CSM is a place where the whole family can learn music in the same place at the same time!
We also offer a wide range of orchestras, ensembles and performing groups for all ages and abilities.
Learning an instrument is the brains equivalent of a full body work out. The earlier you start the bigger the benefits. These include increased memory, problem solving and literacy.
Guitar classes are offered by Rotorua Music School. You are able to request a preferred day of the week, we will co-ordinate lesson times where possible.
Using Psychology and my experience teaching your lessons will be created to reinforce all the skills you need and want. Lessons can be individual or group and theres no minimum lessons or contracts, when you want to stop you are free to!
The acoustic guitar is wonderfully enjoyable and portable. The ideal accompaniment and compositional instrument.
Contemporary Guitar lessons are offered by Frank's Music School. In his own teaching, Frank’s focus is on CCM Voice Coaching (Contemporary Commercial Music); Contemporary Guitar/Bass Tutoring & Pop, Rock and Jazz Band Training.
