We are proud to offer guitar lessons at Novar Music. We employ only the most passionate, engaged and professional guitar teachers who are constantly looking to develop their knowledge of the intricacies of the guitar and the latest teaching principles.

Our teaching philosophy is that every child is unique and as such requires a bespoke learning environment and plan.

We only offer one-on-one sessions to ensure the student is not being held back or left behind by the rest of the class. We find students improve faster, enjoy the instrument more, and gain more confidence as a result. We teach guitar to students from the age of 8 to adult.

Learning the guitar is a great way to access modern styles such as jazz, rock, and pop music.

We offer one-on-one, 30 minute lessons suitable for beginners or younger students. This offers a great opportunity to learn the basics in a time frame that is manageable for younger students. As students get older and more proficient in the guitar we will look to lengthen the lessons to 45 minutes or an hour.

We also provide one-on-one lessons for adults, catering the structure and content to each adult student’s learning style and previous music experience.

We require you to own a guitar before starting lessons. If you need help finding an instrument, please get in touch, as we have a great network of stores we can refer you to. We recommend that you buy the best instrument you can afford to ensure you can make the best sounding music possible.
