This could be aiming towards a specific goal, such as getting to grips with a certain piece or technique, or it could be on more generalised topics such as an instrumental introduction, or playing style exploration.
Our guitar tutors will always seek to work with you to establish the best approaches for individual lessons.
Prelude School of Music is based in the City Buildings on Old Hall Street in Liverpool. Just a two-minute walk away from Moorfields train station, Prelude offers a prime city-centre location for music lessons.
All our lessons are tailored to your indiviudal needs - regardless of age, ability, or whether or not you have played before. Many of our students are differently abled, and we also cater to many students in the LGBTQ+ community.
The school aims to encourage not only outstanding learning and practice techniques in our students, but also provides the opportunity to perform, which is an integral part of learning how to play and present music, which builds confidence and shows progress.
Our teachers hold a total of over thirty years experience between them, with most of them holding degrees at Masters level in either music or teaching.
Currently we offer Singing, Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Woodwind and Music Theory lessons on a one-to-one basis, but we hope to expand to workshops and master classes in the future.
You may have a specific problem or area you want to focus on and in the lessons we’ll get to the DNA of your playing and put an action plan in place to push you on to the next level. You’ll receive expert 1 to 1 tuition that will boost you playing skills and accelerate your learning.
Guitar lessons are suitable for children to adults. Lessons can be taught on acoustic or electric guitar.
Lessons can be tailored to your individual needs and interests. Learn at your own pace. We have years of exam board experience should you wish to attain grades, however these are purely optional.
Whether you are at the beginning of your career or already performing live, we will provide you with the tools to take your playing to the next level. Our lessons are fun, supportive and cover different styles such as Rock, Jazz, Pop, Classical and everything in between.
You’ll learn both how to improve rhythmically and technically – you’ll also learn multiple skills and see how you could fit within the music industry.
