DurationGuitar students will be able to perform adequately to pass lower levels of guitar examinations without a large investment. Children may begin guitar lessons at age 5-7, with the help and supervision of a parent.
When moving through guitar examinations, parents need to increase guitar lesson duration for favorable results. Exams require ear training/sight reading and technical requirements which become progressively more difficult. Students will not progress without adequate lesson time.
Welcome to Ware Academy of Music. I’m Lynn Ware, owner teacher of theory and classical guitar. Peter and I have been preparing students for theory and instrumental examinations for over 30 years.
Peter received his M.M. degree in composition from Yale University, under Toru Takemitsu and Kryztof Penderecki. I completed my M.M. degree in guitar performance at Kent State University. We are both National Gold Medal Teachers.
Our instructors also specialize in a variety of musical styles such as rock, jazz, blues, pop, and more. (Ages 5 and up.)
Beginner, Intermediate, And Advanced Lessons Are Available In A Variety Of Different Styles Such As Rock, Pop, Classical, Blues And More
Lesson structure is individualized to match the goals of each student. We recognize that the learning styles of students vary considerably, and we make every effort to alter our approach and methods accordingly. Input from parents is always welcome
The Hamilton School of Music currently offers lessons in plectrum (or pick-style) and finger-style guitar. From the onset of lessons, students are taught to read music
Students of all ages are welcome to join our private guitar lessons and learn acoustic, electric or bass guitar.
