Guitar technique requires a certain pressure to be applied on the fingertips from pressing the strings
Guitar technique requires a certain pressure to be applied on the fingertips from pressing the strings. That’s why at first some fingers discomfort might occur. It is normal and will go away as fingers tops’ tissue toughens up.
If discomfort persists, you should possibly consider a different instrument and preferably wait a little bit until trying guitar again. This way you still will be working on your reading music skills and ear training, but will give your fingers some time to recover. Ukulele is a good easier alternative to a guitar.
Our music school offers 15 min first initial lesson to see if you like it. Students can take their lessons in-person or on-line. You can keep trying different teachers/instruments until you find someone that you really like.
Please, note that we never raise our price on a current student and we never have registration fee. You always stay with the price you signed up with.
