Hand Drumming Lessons Course is Offered by The Music Studio
As a hand drum student, you will learn traditional hand drumming patterns on a West African Djembe (pronounced: gem-bay) drum. The musical and relaxation aspects of hand drumming may be enjoyed individually or as part of a group with other hand drum students.
Explore the language of the drum in our educational and fun learning environment. The Music Studio has djembes for students to use during their lessons.
Since 1990, The Music Studio in Etobicoke (Toronto) has focused on offering the best in music education, customer service and value for money.
We believe that these themes are reflected in the examples below and in the relationships we build with our students.
We invite you to experience The Music Studio difference for yourself. Whether it’s in-person or online, The Music Studio has Music Lessons You’ll Love!
Beginning drum set students first learn proper drum technique including the correct grip and playing motion, and how to coordinate their hands and feet when playing the drum set.
Whether a student is interested in a relaxed, fun approach to lessons and just wants to learn how to play their favourite music, or if they want to take a more serious, syllabus based approach, we cover it all.
Drum lessons are taught on a drum kit in our studios but students are able to get started practicing at home on practice pads before purchasing or renting a drum kit.
Kids will learn timing, rhythm, counts, co-ordination, all while making some awesome music with drum beats! A fun, energetic, rhythm filled drum class!
Our drums lessons stress proper technique so students become good drummers quickly. Our drum instructors have university or college training and are active performers. Private drum lessons are available in 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lengths.
