In this club we explore the fine art of embroidery and hand sewing. Embroidery has been around for centuries and you would be hard pressed to not find it in every nook and cranny of your house! Kids will learn common embroidery and hand sewing machines through a selection of fun and exciting projects.
We won’t be doing any boring stitch books, this is all about learning through creative and fun projects like constellations, sun bursts, monogramming and much more. We will of be mixing this with useful skills like mending and string stitches to hand sew when you don’t have a sewing machine. No experience necessary.
Made has been offering comprehensive, engaging and exciting after-school programming throughout the Seattle area since 2011. We are very excited to announce that for the 2022-2023 school year Made will be offering a limited number of onsite and virtual creative arts options!
Embroidery course is offered by Grome's Sewing Machine Company. Every class requires a 4 student minimum for the class to make. In the event that we do NOT have enough students we will refund your money.
In this comprehensive course on patch making with an embroidery machine, you will learn the essential techniques and skills to design and create your own custom patches
Young adults and adults will learn how to needlepoint on canvas with thread and follow a basic chart. 1-5 Students per class. Includes all the materials you will need.
This class will go over the proper set up of the embroidery unit, as well as, needles, stabilizer and optional software. Proper hooping technique and embroidery considerations when using different thread are topics discussed.
Always wanted to learn to edge to edge quilt now you can. Using Amelie Scott Designs Edge-to-Edge Quilting On Your Embroidery Machine and the Easy-Connect Quilting technique. Hoop size on your machine needs to be at least 6" X 12" or larger.
