Aim: To help practitioners improve their composite resin and tooth preparation skills to allow them to manage toothwear patients.
Course Description
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the event delegates will be able to:
Describe the aetiology of non-carious tooth surface loss.
Describe the different options available to manage tooth surface loss, including the use of indirect restorations, overdentures and composite resin.
Recognise that a full contour wax-up and palatal matrix/index can significantly help the clinician to restore worn teeth with composite resin, especially if a layering technique is to be employed
Describe the limitations, longevity and maintenance issues relating to the use of composite resin to restore worn teeth.
Restore worn posterior teeth with adhesive gold onlays.
