Aim: To help practitioners improve their composite resin and tooth preparation skills to allow them to manage toothwear patients. 

Course Description

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the event delegates will be able to:

  • Describe the aetiology of non-carious tooth surface loss.

  • Describe the different options available to manage tooth surface loss, including the use of indirect restorations, overdentures and composite resin.

  • Recognise that a full contour wax-up and palatal matrix/index can significantly help the clinician to restore worn teeth with composite resin, especially if a layering technique is to be employed

  • Describe the limitations, longevity and maintenance issues relating to the use of composite resin to restore worn teeth.

  • Restore worn posterior teeth with adhesive gold onlays.
