Scorpion’s Hazard ID, Risk Assessment & Duty of Care Course is designed to assist you with the knowledge and skills you require to meet the legislative requirements, that set out the General Duty of Care in Western Australian workplaces. Employers and Employees have legal obligations regarding the safety of themselves and others.

Many workplaces are unaware of their legal obligations; this course is designed to help you ensure your duty of care knowledge is of the highest standard.

The Hazard ID, Risk Assessment & Duty of Care Course includes training and information on:

The employee’s duty of care
Workplace / Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
Workplace / Occupational Health and Safety legislation and compliance
The consequences of failing to meet legislative requirements
How to ensure your workplace has a general understanding of the Duty of Care concept
Correctly Identifying Hazards and reporting them
How to apply Risk Assessment tools to either eliminate or control any Hazards
A range of Vocational Education and Training Courses:
Under the OHS Act 2004 (section 67), all elected HSRs and deputy HSRs are entitled to undertake WorkSafe Victoria-approved HSR initial OHS training and choose their course in consultation with their employer. Chisholm Institute is approved by WorkSafe to deliver the HSR Initial OHS Training Course.
Learn Permit, Confined Space, Height Safety and Gas Testing Skills. The clustered course structure enables greater meaning and context, facilitating better transference of learning into the workplace.
Working at Heights training course in Brisbane and throughout QLD, special $239. Falls from work at heights is a major hazard for many industries. People who work at height should receive appropriate training to understand the associated hazards and appropriate risk management controls implemented
The course does not require you to complete any study before attending, however we do provide optional study that will help you to successfully complete the course.
Work Health and Safety Representative courses are intended to assist HSRs understand how the WHS legislation will influence work, health and safety outcomes in their workplace. The course is for workers who have been nominated by their workplace to be the Work Health and Safety Representative.
