This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to test the working atmosphere, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work.
The course covers a range of topics including, but not limited to, hazard identification and risk control, crane setup and configuration, load calculations, crane operations, communication procedures, and shut down procedures.
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit
The work required in this unit relates to the National Standard for High-Risk Work but this unit does not provide the licence. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements that may apply to this unit can vary between states, territories and industry sector
