Recognizing, assessing and controlling (or eliminating) workplace hazards is a specialized form of problem solving. It involves anticipating hazards and then taking action to prevent potential injuries and illnesses. This is the primary method for accident prevention and risk management.
This course offers a unique and combined approach to the legalities of documenting these efforts along with combined cultural and collaborative efforts using a unique system developed by Barantas, Inc. Students will be taught:

Methods for performing risk analysis
How to identify common precursors to incidents and accidents (’what if’ scenarios)
Prevention strategies at the root level
Investigating types of controls: at the source, along the path, at the worker
