Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) at a workplace have obligations under the legislation in relation to hazardous chemicals. This obligation also applies to other persons such as importers and suppliers of hazardous chemicals.
This course will give participants an understanding of the use, handling and storage of hazardous chemicals and mixtures.
It also identifies how workers can be effectively involved in the process of hazardous chemicals management by identifying associated risks and minimising those risks as required by legislation.
A practical risk assessment activity is incorporated in the training. Participants are encouraged to bring workplace documentation such as Safety Data Sheets and Chemical Risk Assessments for use during activities.

Hazardous materials training course is designed to assist employers and employees in understanding the characteristics, hazards and legislative requirements surrounding the safe storage and handling of hazardous substances.
This training course is taught by experienced instructors who will take course participants through both theory and practical sessions to respond to on-site hazardous material emergencies.
This course provides participants with skills and knowledge required to handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances safely and in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety legislative requirements.
Our HAZMAT training course is designed for both everyday workers and Emergency Response Teams who may be required to respond to hazardous materials incidents in the workplace.
