Hazardous Materials Technician (HAZ)

Created in 1998 by the checkmate group to provide trained firefighters and fire officers to the rapidly expanding industrial sector in india. The institute is located near vadodara, gujarat, india and is spread over an serene environmentaly safe area of 100 acres, the institute is well connected by roads, railways and air transportation.

In 14 years, ifsdms has served the emergency response and training needs of the private sector industries, municipal and government agencies in calamities and through various customised training modules.

The institute offers a wide range of training courses and services, for the knowledge and skills needed to operate at levels ranging from fire fighter to incident commander and from operators to managers. Our courses cover the oil & gas, petrochemical,chemical, power,automobiles,fertilisers,transportation and hospitality sectors.

Backed by years of experience the institute's instructors and internationally renowned industry experts support exceptional hands-on-training exercises for real-life incident command and emergency response with well laid class room curriculum.

New fire training facility of ifsdms was inaugurated in march 2012 by shri narendra modi, honourable chief minister of gujarat, developed in collaboration with the fire science academy worldwide, university of nevada, reno, usa, under expert guidance from fsa worldwide asst. Director mitchell baclawski, commissioned full scale replicas of industrial mock ups with live fire burning facilities and an oil/water separation plant of 1000 m3 capacity in december 2011.
