Hazmat Operations is an Emergency Services Training course. Trainees learn about the properties of hazardous materials, weapons of mass destruction and environmental disasters and more.
Topics Include:
This 3-day Hazmat Operations course combines classroom experience with hands-on training. In-class, participants learn how to identify hazardous materials, WMDs, and other environmental hazards. They also learn how to plan an initial response to safely contain or neutralize the situation.
In the hands-on portion, participants execute these response plans in simulated Hazmat situations, using proper PPE and defensive tactics. Trainees are evaluated on their performance in the simulated environment and must pass a written exam to receive their certificate.
