The course gives participants the skills and knowledge to identify safety issues or breaches in the workplace, and how to work with PCBU's (persons conducting a business or undertaking) to resolve these issues and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
We provide both the initial 5-day course for newly elected HSR's, as well as the 1-day refresher course for those who are re-elected or currently elected and have completed the 5-day course previously.
Who Is This Course For?
The Health and Safety Representative (HSR) courses are for HSR's and deputy HSR's and are required to successfully and legally fulfil their powers, functions and responsibilities.
Recently elected HSR's must complete an approved HSR Initial course within 3 months of being elected and once elected must also attend HSR Refresher training at least once every three (3) years. We offer both of these training options.
