A two day programme for individuals to train to deliver health coaching training to other staff in their practice or organisation is now open for applications from HETV staff. Applications for this training from Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and General Practitioner are particularly welcome.
There is a growing wealth of the evidence for using a health coaching approach particularly with patients who have the following conditions: diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, obesity, cardiovascular disease, mental health and medication adherence.
Health coaching has also been identified as an effective intervention in reviews of self-care support from both the Kings Fund and Health Foundation.
