  • Teacher's Experience
  • Leoné started dancing at the age of 6 and has studied Ballet, Highland, Irish, Jazz and Tap. Ultimately, Highland dancing became her passion and she went on to gain her Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced NDAA teaching certificates. Leoné delights in promoting Highland dancing in our region and she is honoured to have been granted life membership of the Townsville Highland Dancing Association Inc. Leoné joined the staff of the Ann Roberts School of Dancing in 2009. She loves working with our Primary dancers right through to the Premier level Championship dancers. Leone` is equally passionate about mentoring and passing on the love of Highland dancing to our student teachers. However, the most rewarding aspect for her is to work out how each dancer learns, see them progress and help them achieve their own goals. ? Leoné has had many opportunities to travel with Highland dancing, and attending the Edinburgh Military Tattoo to watch three of our dancers perform with the OzScot Australia Team in Scotland was amazing and certainly one of many highlights of her 35 year highland teaching career. Leoné has a Bachelor of Education and was very fortunate during her 27 years of experience as a Primary School teacher to also be given the opportunity to promote her passion for the Arts and develop ongoing dance programs. ?
