With 12 different sessions to choose from, The Edinburgh Summer Dance Series at Dance Base is the place to be this summer for those who love to dance!
The Edinburgh Summer Series (formerly The Edinburgh Summer Sessions) were created in 2012 to fill the gap between the end of classes in June and the long wait over the summer without regular dance classes.
Classes run over 5 consecutive days and are catered for those who regularly attend dance classes who want a chance to dance more intensively and for dancers in training.
All classes are aimed at dancers with some previous dance experience unless otherwise specified.

Hip hop incorporates old and new dance moves and styles like break dancing, popping, crumping and even traditional jazz moves.
Hip hop incorporates authentic street style influenced movements with groove and style. Normally performed to hiphop music. Emphasis on the following: body isolations and control, rhythm, style, creativity, execution, uniformity and musicality.
Hip-Hop is one of the most successful and sought after classes. We provide classes from Beginner- Advanced for ages 4-18 with Tasha.
These classes are for all ages where we cover various styles of dance such as street dance and hip hop. DTA Medal test examinations are available.
At around age 7 or 8, boys move from Junior Funky Moves into Boys Street (I) and Grade 1 Modern to further improve their dance skills and to start learning basic dance technique. It is compulsory to learn both modern and street together.
