Hip hop dance is an umbrella term that covers a variety of urban and street-dance styles, primarily performed to hip hop music.

All of our hip-hop dance classes have an open class format, and there are no examinations. In our open classes, students are taught freshly choreographed hip hop sets.

Sometimes we work with a different piece of music each class, and sometimes we extend our sets into full-length dances over a term.

Our main aim in hip hop class is enjoyment–we want to make hip hop accessible for everyone, whether they have danced before or not. The sets we do are often challenging but taught within a supportive and easy environment.

Taylah has been dancing since she was a wee tot and has never stopped! She has worked her way through all Jazz and Contemporary grade work and thoroughly enjoys all areas and styles of Dance, however, her true passion is Hip Hop. She loves sharing her passion and love for dance with her classes and enjoys watching her kids find and grow their confidence within her classes. Taylah cannot imagine her life without Dance and so looks forward to getting into classes with the KJ Students
