Hip Hop is a great modern style of dancing that originates from ‘street dance’ and is very popular. It is often very upbeat and energetic with sharp movements.
Hip Hop started in the streets and has evolved throughout the years combining funk and pop culture to develop skills and express movements in a funky and soulful style.
This energetic and urban dance style will introduce you to the Hip Hop basics. The focus of this class is to build a solid foundation to execute popular dance moves to original choreography.
Hip Hop Dance is offered by The Performance Studio. Our Recreational Classes offer students a supportive and low-commitment way to experience and enjoy dance at TPS.
Classes include technique such as isolations, grooves, dynamic movement and choreography concepts. In addition students are given free style opportunities where they are able to explore their creative voice and personal style.
