Every class begins with a thirty minute warm-up led by Lead Hip Hop Teacher, Ramiro Vaughan, followed by a 90 minute focused session with master teachers. Warm-ups include exercises that promote flexibility, strength, fitness, and isolations and will drill skills across a wide-range of Hip Hop styles and influences.
The session portion of the class will explore a different focus each day, including Popping, Threading, Dance Hall, Light Feet, Dance Party, and Shuffle/House. The Hip Hop Dance Intensive is designed so that students can experience a range of styles and have opportunities to grow individually and with peers.
Urbanity Dance exists to inspire, engage, and empower individuals and communities through the art of dance and movement.
Hip Hop is a unique dance discipline that is upbeat and energetic. It combines the rhythm of jazz and street dancing with intricate arm and foot patterns. Coordination, syncopation, and free-style moves are all aspects that make this a fun and popular way to dance.
This class includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, popping, and contemporary hip hop. Hip-Hop is an enthusiastic and energetic class that is one of the most popular dance styles. Hip-hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves
Students will learn fundamental hip hop movements through across the floor and center combinations. This high energy class will emphasize musicality, coordination, basic footwork, improvisation and style. Â
Our beginner hip hop dance classes are genuine beginner classes. You won't be placed in a class with more experienced dancers that force the class to move faster than you're ready for.
Hip Hop Dance Classes are offered by Gena's School of Dance for all ages and skill level. Genas dance school has been a fun studio for many years. We are certified through dance educators of America.Â
