DurationThe purpose of this course is to provide people with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions regarding their HIV status and related implications. Within thirty minutes or less, the results of a fast antibody screening test can be acquired. This test is often run using oral fluid or blood drawn from a finger prick.
When it comes to offering support and direction to people living with HIV or undergoing testing, an HIV counselor is crucial. In addition to providing clients with information on treatment options, prevention, and transmission, this role entails providing clients with emotional support as they traverse their health journey.
A fast antibody screening test, which is commonly performed using oral saliva or blood from a finger prick, can produce results in less than 30 minutes. The finger prick rapid antigen/antibody test takes about 30 minutes or less.
The Hiv and Tb counseling course is R1600 for 4 weeks theory in the class.
