Since 1912 the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 303 has proudly represented electrical and communication workers providing leadership, employment structure and a collective voice in the electrical trade. Our members reside, work and contribute to the local economy.
This course is designed for workers who are required to lift or move heavy loads. Course content includes: Identify potential rigging hazards Saskatchewan OH&S legislated standards Employer, supervisor and worker responsibilities Calculate load weights and limits.
This six hour program is intended to provide participants with the knowledge required to recognize and assess hazards associated with overhead cranes, hoists and rigging and the appropriate control measures and safe work procedures to control or eliminate hazards.
This course gives participants a basic knowledge of the principles related to safe hoisting and rigging practices in the industrial industry.
Rigging training is 8 hours in duration and begins with a classroom theory component that is followed by a written exam.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to identify hoisting and rigging equipment, and carry out safe hoisting and rigging during inspection, maintenance, and operation. No Expiry.
