The first 7 weeks are skills-based training followed by 180 hours in-service training at an approved frail-care facility. Successful candidates are issued with a certificate.
This training course is also ideal for current employed domestic workers who are involved in patient care at the home they are employed at.

Registration cost: R200.00 (Candidates needs at least a grade 9 certificate)
Training cost: R6,500.00 inclusive of training manuals, caregiver uniform top and name badge.
Caregivers are not intended to replace medical professionals or family members. Certain medical tasks such as IV administration cannot be done by a Caregiver and must be done by a family member or qualified medical professional.
Course in Geriatrics and basic understanding of care giving.
This line of work involves people providing direct care to children and youth and their families. The child and youth care worker is responsible for using his/her expertise to maintain a healthy environment that is also secure that will help children and the youth to reach their full potential
