Our Construction Home Renovation program allows individuals to successfully gain theoretical and practical training in Residential Building and Renovations. The school provides work site conditions for a realistic education that prepares you for the work force.

Graduates receive Construction Home Renovation Certification. Post program support includes resume building and Job Placement Assistance.

  • Blueprints(Reading, Interpreting & Sketching)
  • Foundation(Understanding Different Types of Foundations)
  • Rough Carpentry & Framing(House Carpentry, Roof Rafters & Stairs)
  • Drywall(Taping, Mudding, Corner Beads, Finishing & Painting)
  • Finish Carpentry(Trim & Baseboard)
  • Flooring(Installation of Hardwood, Tile & Laminate)
  • Basic Electrical(Knowledge & Installation of Basic Electrical)
  • Basic Plumbing(Knowledge & Installation of Basic Plumbing)

Study Formats

Full Time

The format is designed for beginners who would like to pursue a career in renovations trades. Students include individuals looking for a new career, and newcomers who need re-certification from a Canadian trades school.

Duration: 

12-14 Weeks

Part Time

The format is designed to whom would like to enhance their skills and further their career in construction trades. Prior work experience is not required but recommended.

Due to the Limited Availability of Seats, Early Registration is strongly recommended. Additionally, being placed on a wait-list does not guarantee you a seat in the class.

Admission Standards And Procedure

For registration, applicants should be at least 18 years of age and physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds. Applicants are also required to provide the following documents:

  • Valid Canadian photo identification.
  • Ontario High School Diploma, transcript or equivalent.

If you do not currently have a Diploma or Transcript, you may instead complete a Basic Assessment Test.
