This course introduces the fundamentals of housekeeping operations. Emphasis is placed on employee development, management skills, OSHA standards and property maintenance and up-keep.
Budgeting, cost controls, proper staffing and planning a fiscal budget are also emphasized in this course.

The Housekeeping Job Training Program provides men and women with skills that enable them to enter the commercial housekeeping workforce. While enrolled in the program, trainees clean and maintain the main campus at Pine Street Inn
This course will prepare you for a career as a head/executive housekeeper or provide household managers with a deeper understanding of the housekeeping department.
You will learn the management skills necessary to serve as a supervisor of other staff members and learn how to properly train and organize a team of housekeepers.
This course covers household cleaning techniques, such as proper use of cleaning materials and tools.
Learn and practice skills to work in the hospitality and cleaning industry. We also help you find a job in places like nursing homes, office buildings, hospitals or hotels. Wages range from $15 – $17/hour. This class meets MFIP hourly requirements.
