Workplace communication skills: how to write a successful CV and be confident in interviews
Do you want to learn how to write a CV that will attract an employer's attention and get you an interview? Do you want to learn how to prepare for that interview and answer the questions confidently when you are there? This course will help you do that.
By the end of the course you will be confident you have all the skills you need to write a job application that meets the criteria the employer is looking for, in language that impresses them, and that you will perform well in any job interview.
What is the course about?
This course about how to write a CV that impresses a future employer that is adapted to the criteria they are looking for. You will focus on the content of the application and the right language to use. You will learn how to adapt your CV for different jobs.
You will role play your interview technique, how to answer questions effectively, how to stay calm and focused, and you will work on preparing for interviews anticipating questions so you can create a good impression.
What will we cover?
• identifying from a job advert what an employer is looking for
• identifying and practising the content of a CV - what to include, what to exclude
• identifying and practising the best type of language to use on a CV to make the most impact on an employer
• preparing for an interview and anticipating the questions
•role-playing interviews - including how to answer questions
•remaining confident and calm during interviews.
