Description

This Nationally Accredited HRW Forklift course is designed to provide participants with the fundamentals and equip them with the skills & knowledge to safely operate a forklift, the training includes: checking forklift condition, driving the forklift to operational requirements, monitoring site conditions, monitoring & maintaining forklift performance as described in the Performing High Risk Work National Standards for Licencing Persons.

Upon satisfactory completion of the LF course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment which is a Nationally Recognised skill from the TL107A Transport & Logistics Training Package.

 

Course Topics

  • Requirements for HRW Licence
  • WHS Legislation (Acts, Regulations and Duty of Care)
  • Application of Australian Standards and National Standards.
  • Pre-operational check of the forklift truck
  • Inspection of the work site.
  • Identification of work site hazards and the selection of control measures.
  • Start-up check of forklift truck.
  • Operation of forklift truck, including the movement of various loads, pick up, and placement of loads from low, medium, and high-level racking.
  • Correct shutdown and parking procedure for forklift truck

 

 Participants will need:

  • Hi-Visibility Shirt or Vest
  • Protective Footwear
  • Hard Hat (we have some available for use if necessary)
  • Please bring your own lunch
  • Water,Tea & Coffee facilities are available

 

Prerequisites

  • 100 points of Identification, must include photo proof of identification such as a Drivers Licence, Proof of age card or Passport 
  • (USI) Number-Unique Student Identification. 
  • You must be 18 years of age or over to attend
  • Inform the RTO if you do not have a NSW address prior to course commencement.
  • Have basic numeracy skills
  • Demonstrate ability to speak and write English to a basic level
