Hydrogen Sulphide Gas Safety Course

The h2s safety course is intended for personnel working in an environment that could become contaminated by h2s gas. Training on the subject of hydrogen sulfide, is essential for all oil and gas workers who could be exposed to h2s during the course of their work activities.

Scope of the course

The primary focus of h2s alive is to help workers form safe working practices in and around h2s environments. The course covers the physical properties and health hazards of h2s, how to properly protect yourself, and some basic rescue techniques.

Course content

Covering the following topics as per imo models

• Introduction & h2s properties
• Initial responses strategy & location where h2s is present
• Physiological effect of h2s and critical factor which determine degree of harm to humans
• Dangers and safe handling of h2s.
• Breathing protective equipment
• H2s detection & monitoring equipments
• Precautions while entering enclosed spaces
• Rescue techniques & exposure limit (oel/wel)
• Test & maintenance of scba and e.B.A equipment.
