How to observe signs and symptoms of harm or abuse

Responding to disclosure, information or signs and symptoms in accordance with state legislative responsibilities

Communication and information gathering techniques
Acting within your own level of responsibility, work role, state legislation and service policies and procedures
Recording relevant specific and general circumstances surrounding risk of harm
Recording and reporting risk of harm indicators
Non-judgmental report writing
Working collaboratively with relevant agencies
Protecting the rights of children and young people
Ethical concerns in practice with children and young people
Employing nurturing practices
