IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s leading English language proficiency test, with over 2 million tests taken last year for higher education, career and global migration purposes.

It is accepted by 8000 organizations worldwide, including schools, universities, immigration authorities, and professional bodies. IELTS is jointly owned by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language  Assessment. 

IELTS Modules

IELTS has two different test modules:

• Academic: Designed for those who want to study or train in an English-Speaking university at an undergraduate or postgraduate level. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on the results of the academic IELTS test, and it may also be required for employment purposes.
• General Training: Designed for those who are going to English-speaking countries for work or immigration purposes.

Test Dates

Please note that test dates are filled up very quickly, so register as early as possible as we cannot guarantee space. If a test date is closed online, contact us as we may still be able to reserve a space if you register in person.

To register for the Official IELTS, please bring the following:

•   ID (Valid Passport or Permanent Resident Card)
•   Payment (accepted forms of payment: Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard only), Money Order, or Certified Cheque made payable to Conestoga College).Important Note: Visa debit cards are not an acceptable method of payment.
