All students take the same Listening and Speaking exams, while the Reading and Writing parts are available in both Academic and General formats. The Academic Reading and Writing exam assess whether a student is able to study a course taught in English.
The General exam looks at basic English skills in broad social and educational contexts. The General exam suits students who are going to English-speaking countries for work, non-degree level training or for immigration.
The course includes vocabulary, grammar, skill-building and exam practice. It consists of four modules with corresponding exercises, tasks and practice tests.

IELTS is an international English exam which is accepted by over 3,000 Universities in the USA. This course is designed to develop the language skills and knowledge of High Intermediate (B2) to Advanced (C1) level students, and to prepare them for the academic modules of the IELTS test.
The Test Preparation Program focuses its coursework on introducing and refining the specific skills students need to prepare for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
IELTS course is offered by the Seattle Central College Library for all skill level.
