This course meets the industry requirements for those aiming to work in a supervisory role applying traffic control plans and setting up and programming portable traffic control devices in a work zone.
The skills required to control traffic with a stop-slow bat are not included in this course.
Candidates will be required to complete a logbook in the workplace, and undertake worksite assessment within 90 days of completion of the course. Coates Training Services will schedule regular live site assessment events for this purpose.

This course consists of two modules which must be completed together on the same day Control Traffic with Stop Go Bat and Implement Traffic Management Plans
Work Zone Traffic Management involves the management of traffic through, around and past roadwork sites whilst balancing the safety needs of both workers and road users such as drivers, cyclists and pedestrians
On successful completion of this course trainees in the resources and infrastructure industries will be able to demonstrate the correct method for installation
New to traffic control? This one-day course prepares you for work as a traffic controller and teaches you to set up traf?c control equipment according to a traffic guidance scheme. Learn to read and interpret traffic management plans, use appropriate signs and devices to control traffic.
To become an accredited Traffic Controller in Queensland‚ you must complete an approved traffic controller training course, delivered by a Department of Transport and Main Roads approved training provider.
