The Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS) was set up in 2001 as the only not for profit trade association for solid waste management with an aim to advocate best practices, transfer of knowledge amongst industry player and WMRAS plays a pivotal role in facilitating working relationship between businesses, the government and community in order to create a more sustainable living environment.
Our membership covers a wide spectrum of the industry including waste collection, recycling and recovery, e-waste, hazardous and biohazardous waste, and ranges from large MNCs, SMEs, ,equipment and service providers, and more.
As Singapore's representative on the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), WMRAS actively engage with ISWA to create a platform for sharing expertise and knowledge during international conference and webinars.
We have also established the Asia Pacific Waste and Environment Alliance (APWEA) with 9 industry association around the region such as China, India, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand and Philippines promote closer collaboration between its member-companies and their counterparts in the region.
As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) in Singapore, WMRAS also provide the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses for frontline operations staff as well as curate and manage programmes for waste management professionals.

This course is designed for supervisors and WSH professionals (e.g. safety officers, project managers, project directors) to learn how to ensure the safe use of various types of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) within their control.
This course covers the skills and knowledge required by the person in charge of a facility to implement the incident management process during an emergency incident in a processing facility.
The Generic Manufacturing Skills (GMS) WSQ framework aims to raise the professionalism of the workforce. This Competency Unit aims to equip the knowledge and skills in planning, supervising, assessing and managing of work at height.
Course aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills on SCBA, airline equipment, safety checks, procedures and enable them to operate the SCBA in a safe condition.
This course is for all workers who are required to work at-heights. You will be taught the hazards and the safe work practices of working-at-heights.
