This incident investigation course is aimed at those who will be participating in accident/incident investigations.
This training will provide you with hands-on tools and knowledge to effectively report and investigate accidents and how to put in place the processes and procedures to prevent future events. Trainees will learn the Incident Cause Analysis Model as the investigation method of choice for New Zealand’s largest companies when investigating significant events.
Based on the work of James Reason – known for the ‘Swiss Cheese’ or Cumulative Act model of accident causation – ICAM is a proven, effective and accessible investigation framework.
Key Learning Objectives:
Our experienced safety trainers are from industry related backgrounds and provide a wide range of safety training courses such as Health and Safety Training, Working at Height, Confined Space Training, Gas testing, and Fire Extinguisher Training.
This course will provide the knowledge and skills required to determine whether there are any harmful gases, including high or low levels of oxygen or excessive levels of toxic and flammable gases that could pose a danger to humans or the environment.
Cranes that can be used for assessment against this unit standard include – truck mounted cranes, all terrain cranes, rough terrain cranes. Assessment cannot be carried out using truck loader cranes, or telehandlers, or excavators when being used as cranes.
This course is designed to give people the essential knowledge of explosive atmospheres and hazardous areas. Learn to identify hazardous areas, sources of ignition and the properties of hazardous materials, along with the roles and responsibilities of all parties, regulations, standards and codes.
The objective of this course is for the students to refresh their current knowledge of work at heights. A combination of theoretical and practical assessment, discussions/recapping on knowledge already attained.
This course will guide you through the selection and inspection of various fall arrest systems and relevant ropes and knots.
