Infection control training is aim at all staff and clinicians working in the Health or care settings; they will learn the importance and updates of occupational infection control measures and will be made acutely aware of their responsibilities in managing them.
This course will be a blend of interactive learning with case scenarios. Delegates will also develop practical skills in line with industry standards and guidelines.
The aim of the course is for learners to be able to:
Identify sources of infection understand the various ways that infections may be transmitted.
Disease and transmission; hands washing and gloves use; housekeeping; needle & sharps and waste disposal.
Understand the chain of infections maybe transmitted.
Understand the chain of infection and how to control the risks.
Recognise the importance of your employer carrying out risk assessments at your place of work.
Identify a range of different infection control situations.
Describe the consequences of poor infection control.
Have a basic understanding of your employer’s legal duties.
Be fully aware of preventative measure, remedy the action and prevent infection from transmitting.
