St John Ambulance Cymru is one of the UK's voluntary aid societies (VAS). The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) looks to us for guidance on first aid treatment and training nationwide, and we set the standard that the HSE follows.
We are also a part of the First Aid Quality Partnership (FAQP). Observed by the HSE, we publish the quality assurance standards for all training providers to follow. This means that any accredited first aid training provider has to meet our standards in order to teach courses and award certificates.
This course is designed to introduce candidates to the causes and routes of transmission of infection and identify a range of preventative measures.
