Infection Control course

Infection control is about infection prevention and stopping the spread of infection and disease. This short 3-hour course will demonstrate how you should effectively prevent and treat the most common infections within the workplace.

Did you know that around 15,000 deaths and many serious illnesses are the result of infections? Having a basic understanding of what infections are is key. Adopting effective control and monitoring techniques can help to avoid many of these incidents.

Who it is for?

• Ideal for anyone working in healthcare settings should take this course. People working in health and social care environments like care homes or adult social care should also take this course. No matter where you work, having Keep yourself and those you work with safe.

How is it assessed?

• There is no formal assessment on this course. Students are continually assessed by our highly experienced St John Ambulance Cymru trainers.

Certification

• All successful delegates will receive a St John Ambulance Cymru certificate, valid for 3 years. Please note that after this certificate expires you will need to take this courses again.
