California Southern University, which was founded in 1978, is an entirely different type of university designed with the learner in mind. As a distance learning institution, CalSouthern provides a 100% online educational experience to learners that includes monthly class starts. With over 40 years of operational history, the University offers 25+ associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

And certificate programs in the behavioral sciences, business, nursing, education, and criminal justice. Courses are taught by faculty who are practitioners in their fields. In 2022, CalSouthern was welcomed into the AIU system.
