In the world of technology, there are primarily two categories: information systems (IS) and information technology (IT). Information system technology is an all-encompassing field that balances IS and IT.

The Information Systems Specialist + program is designed for students who want to develop specialized network implementation experience and support skills that meet a recognized technical proficiency and expertise with desktop, server and cloud components.

Under this program, students study architecture, planning, implementation, configuration and support of desktop and server systems in the local area and global wide area network environments. They will develop practical skills through hands-on training, allowing them to design, plan, install, monitor and administer these systems professionally. 

 

Graduates may successfully compete for positions such as:

  • Computer Support Specialist
  • Network Architect
  • Network Administrator
  • Technical Support
  • Desktop Technician
  • Network Engineer or Network Security Specialist

Eastern Academy’s Information Systems Specialist+ program is designed for students wishing to develop specialized network implementation and support skills. Students will develop practical skills through hands on training to design, plan, install, monitor and administer these systems.

 

Graduation Requirements:

  • A student must obtain an overall grade, in each module of at least 70% in order to graduate and receive a diploma.
  • A student must complete all requirements of the Student Success Strategies as well as the Field Placement requirements for this program.
