An Information Systems degree prepares students to analyze computing problems and design, implement, and evaluate solutions for technology in a business or commercial setting.  Students will learn computing theory, programming, computer architecture, as well as accounting, predictive analytics, and management principles for information systems management.

 

Jobs and Career Opportunities

The degree curriculum is designed to provide students with a foundational education in business, science, and the humanities. Preparation in both technical and management skills will prepare students for IS jobs in system administrator roles as well as a variety of technical fields. This degree is designed to keep up with companies’  expansion of computer IS operations, digital platforms, and their growing emphasis on cybersecurity.

 

Program Goals

Graduates of the program are expected within a few years of graduation to have:

  1. Established themselves as practicing IS professionals or engaged in advanced study in a related or complementary area.
